Economists in the field of behavioral finance have repeatedly demonstrated that consumer’s decisions are more heavily weighted in social, cognitive and emotional factors than they are in rationality. These principles play a significant role in both doctor’s and patients’ referral behaviors. This presentation will focus on referral dynamics as viewed through the lens of behavioral economics.
